Simple Past and Past Continuous
Usos do Simple Past
I met my husband in 1983.
We went to London for our holidays.
- Algo que aconteceu várias vezes no passado:
When I was a child I walked a mile to school every day.
We ate a lot while we were on holiday.

She played a lot of soccer when she was younger.
Uso do Past Continuous
- What were you doing at 8 o’clock last night? I was watching television.
- In 1994 he was working in a small town in Spain.
- When I woke up this morning it was raining and my mother was singing in the kitchen.
