John’s Daily Routines

His name is John Smith, he is a good student from England. His weekdays are very busy. Usually, he gets up at eight o’clock and he goes to the bathroom. He has a quick shower, gets dressed and combs his hair.

At a quarter past eight he has breakfast with his mother. After breakfast he brushes his teeth and at twenty past eight, he goes to school by bus. He arrives at school at a quarter to nine o’clock and his classes start at nine o’clock.

He always has lunch in the school canteen at one o’clock P.M. and his classes start again at twenty-five past two. He goes home at half past four. When he arrives home, he has tea, does his homework and watches tv. Before dinner he plays computer games and sometimes, he helps his mother. He always has dinner at eight o’clock with his family and at half past nine he goes to bed.

Hello, my name is David and my favorite sport is scuba diving, I like practicing it in summer. I go to my grandmother’s house near the sea on summer and my sister and I catch the grandma’s small boat and we go far away from the beach. In the water we can see different colored fish, corals, turtles and sea horses.  I also like basketball, I play in a team called “wildcats”, and we win almost all of the matches. Our coach is really good and he motivates us a lot. What about you? What is your favorite sport?

Sabemos que o Present Continuous tense é um tempo verbal que utilizamos para ações que estão acontecendo no momento da nossa fala, ações em progresso. A estrutura do Present Continuous é:

  • Affirmative: Sujeito + verbo to be + verbo com -ing + complemento
  • Negative: Sujeito + verbo to be + not + verbo com -ing + complemento
  • Interrogative: Verbo to be + sujeito + verbo com -ing + complemento        

Verbo to be no presente: AM / IS / ARE

 Richard Campbell is a high school student. He is 15 years old. He lives in a small town in the north of England. Every morning he gets up at eight o’clock, puts on his uniform, and walks to school. Classes start at nine. Students usually study math, English, history and geography in the morning.

They study music, drawing and play sports after lunch. They also spend a lot of time in the school library reading books and doing their homework. Richard and all his friends spend the whole day at school.

Richard Campbell é um aluno do ensino médio e tem 15 anos. Ele mora em uma pequena cidade no norte da Inglaterra. Todas as manhãs, ele se levanta às oito horas, veste o uniforme e caminha para a escola.

As aulas começam às nove. Os alunos geralmente estudam Matemática, Inglês, História e Geografia pela manhã. Estudam música, desenho e praticam esportes depois do almoço. Eles também passam muito tempo na biblioteca da escola lendo livros e fazendo sua lição de casa. Richard e todos os seus amigos passam o dia inteiro na escola.
